🐾 Pet Leg Brace, Splint and Immobilizers VZLA

This part is a set of 3D-printed splints and immobilizers for pets' legs, created for earthquake relief in Venezuela so makers can help injured animals too. It was designed by SimonBM and shared on MakerWorld so any maker can reproduce it from home.

🐶 Pet splints guide

1. Identification The flat splint (Ferula Plana) in the file should be printed in PLA. The paw-shaped immobilizers can be printed in PLA or PETG.

2. Printing Use at least 10% infill in both cases. Use supports and a brim for the immobilizers if you have an open-frame printer.

3. Goal Immobilize the pet's affected leg according to its size. Use bandaging and straps to hold it firmly in place.

4. Flat splint (thermoformable) For the thermoformable flat splint, use warm water so the material softens before applying it.

5. Fitting Place the splint on the pet's leg and adapt it to the shape needed to secure it.

6. Final check Make sure the area is well immobilized and confirm the leg is held firmly to the bandage.

🐶 Guía de férulas para mascotas

1. Identificación La Férula Plana del archivo se debe imprimir en PLA. Los inmovilizadores con forma de patita se imprimen en PLA o PETG.

2. Impresión Usar al menos 10% de relleno en ambos casos, y utilizar soportes y brim para los inmovilizadores si tienen impresoras abiertas.

3. Objetivos Inmovilizar la patita afectada de la mascota de acuerdo al tamaño. Usar vendaje y cintas para sujetar fuertemente.

4. Férula Plana (termoformable) Para la Férula Plana termoformable, usar agua tibia para que el material se ablande antes de aplicar.

5. Implementación Presentar la férula sobre la patita de la mascota y adaptarla a la forma que se requiere para fijar.

6. Conclusiones Verificar que la zona quedó bien inmovilizada y comprobar que se sujeta fuertemente la patita al vendaje.
